![]() There’s a nice group of supporting characters in the drama including Yumi’s friends and a variety of people she ends up working with. Where will Yumi’s heart ultimately land? Do be prepared that the ending of the drama does not completely wrap everything up. There’s also some issues that pop up between her and Ba Bi that cause some problems for the couple. It’s great watching him explore his feelings as well as trying to figure out where Yumi’s heart stands. We do get a little drama though with Woong popping back up in Yumi’s life. This couple have so many adorable moments which I loved! He shares a lot in common with Yumi, and watching them together felt very natural. Ba Bi is just about perfect and is as nice as can be. I thoroughly enjoyed Yumi’s relationship with Ba Bi. I didn’t love a lot of the decisions Yumi would make, but getting a window into her thought process helped with understanding her. I again tried my best to just go with the frequent switches though since that is the central idea of the drama, and while it may not be my personal preference, the switches between scenes and the overall presentation of what is going on in Yumi’s mind is done very well. Also, the humor was still kind of meh for me concerning the cells. I tend to prefer staying with the live action scenes and sometimes felt like switching to the animation took away some of the emotion of the scene since it broke it up. I still thought there were way too many of these scenes though. The thought processes depicted are engaging and relatable. The characters are cute and fun as we get to know them and go along for the ride as they try to get along and solve conflicts. On one hand, we have a rich developed world that the animated cells inhabit that is vibrant and beautiful. Just like last season, I had mixed feelings about the cells. Sometimes things are quite simple, while other times they are incredibly complicated. The show does well at depicting both the humorous happenings inside the brain as well as the more serious, emotional things. While Yumi goes through life, we see the outer story as well as what is happening to her brain cells as they try to navigate Yumi’s wants and needs. It continues by telling a sort of dual story with what’s happening in real life alongside the animated world of Yumi’s brain cells who live in a town in her mind. I had almost the exact same experience with this season, which is mostly positive with a couple of negatives. Yumi’s Cells 2 was a very nice continuation of the first season. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He and Yumi’s breakup was a painful process that left him with residual feelings for her.
